Patent can be applied for in respect of any invention in respect of any new and useful :
- Art, Process Method or Manner of Manufacture
- Any Machine, Apparatus or Other Article
- Any Substance produced by Manufacture and includes any new and useful improvement
- of any of them.
Under this, Shape Configuration or Pattern of any Article (Industrial, Consumer Products, etc.) is registered under Designes Act, 2000. The registration is to be renewed after 10 years.
